January 22 2015: University of Michigan. Visiting the school, speaking, plus there will be an exhibit up of my work. This is for something called the Penny Stamps speaker series.

I am going to the Southern Hemisphere for the first time! I’ll be spending the month of March in Australia and New Zealand.

New Zealand Writer’s Week! In Wellington, March 7-12. One event I’ll be doing in NZ is a talk with the illustrious Terry Castle in a coastal town north of Wellington called Paekakariki. On Saturday March 8.

June 15-20, 2014. I’ll be teaching a graphic memoir workshop at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Come take it!

Monday, September 29, 2008. I’ll be doing a reading in Cambridge, MA at the Brattle Theatre for State By State, an anthology about the 50 states that I did a piece for. The Harvard Bookstore is putting the event on, and it costs 10 bucks, but it’s gonna be a whole multimedia extravaganza–along with folks reading from the book, there will be a screening of a movie about the book, and a live band. My apologies for the fact that this is scheduled for the first night of Rosh Hashanah.

Ohio State University, Columbus OH. 2007 Festival of Cartoon Art. I’ll be one of a bunch of cartoonists speaking at the ninth triennial Festival of Cartoon Art. This year’s festival focuses on the work of Milton Caniff, creator of Terry and the Pirates and Steve Canyon. His collection of comic art also formed the founding collection of Ohio State U’s awesome Cartoon Research Library.
